Our Company offers a wide range of heat-treating and surface finishing services for metals and alloys using the best plant and processes available in the region. The service is supported by the expertise developed over the 50 plus years we have been in business.

Our founder, William D McGregor, began this engineering business in Mount Roskill Auckland, in 1946. In time, his business progressed to the successful development, design and manufacture of industrial ovens, furnaces and kilns. In conjunction with this, and as the demand for the heat treating of metals grew, the focus moved to obtaining the best technology to provide heat-treating services directly to the local market. This led to the eventual establishment of Heat Treatments Limited in 1966.

At about this time, Mr McGregor’s two sons John and Keith entered the business with their energy and ideas that continued to grow the service including the addition of machining operations, a fully equipped metallurgical laboratory and other complimentary services. These additions enhanced the Company’s general engineering capability and with furnace design and manufacture continuing until as recently as the early part of this century, developed the company into a significant contributor to the local industry.

Founded on longevity and experience, the Company has more recently focussed on offering the market the best heat-treating service possible and a “one-stop-shop” sourcing solution for specialised engineered parts. This approach has allowed us to grow the Company beyond the local market and successfully export our expertise and services
